CRC Signs Six Tenants Totaling Nearly 13,000 SF of Space at Cypress Run Marketplace
CRC has signed six leases representing nearly 13,000 square feet of space within Cypress Run Marketplace, a 90,000 square foot neighborhood shopping center located in Coral Springs, Florida. Anchored by Walmart Neighborhood Market and currently featuring nearly 20 retailers, the center located at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Coral Springs Drive. Blake Dickinson, Senior Leasing Manager for Continental Realty Corporation represented the landlord and Jeffrey Kalil, Director of Brokerage Services for Woolbright Development represented the tenants in these transactions.
The new leases were signed with Hard Exercise Works (4,800 square feet); Pittsburgh Paints (2,800 square feet); USK Karate Academy (1,558 square feet); Beard 2 Beard Barber Shop (1,400 square feet); Sabeena Yoga (1,300 square feet) and Kitchen, Bath & More (880 square feet). Continental Realty Corporation, a full-service commercial real estate investment and management company headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, acquired the center in 2015.
Hard Exercise Works is a fitness center with a philosophy that “ensures its members will never experience the same workout twice,” according to owner Justin Ziegler. The exercise regimen involves an assortment of rope climbs, kettle bell swings, sprinting, pull-ups, squats, rowing, deadlifts and burpees, among others. “Cypress Run is the perfect distance from our East Coral Springs gym and, because we believe many of our members live near this new location, we are adding convenience and flexibility to their daily lives,” he said.
USK Karate Academy works with youngsters aged 3 through 14 to teach them courage, leadership skills and discipline through the art of karate, rather than other groups that focus on the physical aspect including fighting. “Many of our students have grown up and are now turning karate into their careers and will be working with us,” explained owner David Alvas. “Cypress Run is situated in a part of Coral Springs that is densely population and fits our demographic profile with many young families,” he added. This is the second location for USK Karate, which opened in 1995.
“We are the spot for men looking to get away from home for a few hours and spend time with their barber,” stated Silvo Valdes who, together with Gabriel Ramos, established Beard 2 Beard Barber Shop. The shop, which will be outfitted with an entertainment section including television sets, video games, as well as a pool table and dart board, will provide an entire range of male grooming services. “The presence of Walmart attracted us to the center, as well as the outstanding road visibility from Atlantic Boulevard,” Valdess added.
Sabeena Yoga is a boutique yoga concept owned by Shelli August and is a relocation of her existing yoga studio into Cypress Run; Pittsburgh Paints is a national franchise selling paints, stains and painting supplies and Kitchen, Bath & More offers domestic furnishings and products.
More than 55,000 cars pass Cypress Run Marketplace on a daily basis and nearly 350,000 people reside within a five-mile radius of the center including more than 125,000 households. The average household income exceeds $76,000.
